Is strength depreciable or becomes obsolete over time?
Though its scientific explanation exists, yet the desire to not feel like it’s ever enough rages ambition to often crunch new trails.
It was never the same circuit or a go to trail this weekend. A long run was on my mind and it was somewhere far from every trail I’d been to in the past.
I knew the hills beyond Nagarkot looked fascinating and it was not so remote as it seemed. There were clusters of villages that could be seen but further away there was definitely something to watch out for.
I had some apparent thought that the new trail would lead to Panchkhal but no it was another place called Kunta Besi.

We ran almost 31 kms to get to Kunta Besi, a small town just before Zero Kilo adjacent to the Melamchi river. The route was mind-blowing. First the pitch road, almost 14 kms to Nagarkot from Changunarayan where we started from. From Nagarkot it was downhill and somewhere before Naldhum the trail led all the way to the stream gorge and then up and up where we passed few villages before touching the main highway and further 8 kms to Kunta Besi.

Actually there was another route that led all the way to Kunta Besi without changing direction from Mesagaun. But that would be longer. Something to try in the next season of Kavre Run.
But Kavre hold immense potential for longer trail runs. One that can go as far to Chautara as we could see it was visible really far away. Kavre trails touch Sindhupalchowk.
It could just be a nice 60 kms someday.
After the run, we plunged ourselves in a resort’s pool - Mandan Deupur Resort.
